Sydney independent school, 620 students, $18m revenue. The school's monthly reports were operational not strategic — the finance committee could not assess capital-works capacity, and enrolment forecasting was done on instinct.
Client
Sydney independent school, 620 students, $18m revenue. Sector: Schools.
Challenge
The school's monthly reports were operational not strategic — the finance committee could not assess capital-works capacity, and enrolment forecasting was done on instinct.
Our approach
We rebuilt the monthly board pack around six core views, installed a three-year enrolment and tuition revenue model, and built a debt-servicing feasibility model for a proposed classroom block.
Outcome
The finance committee approved a $3.2m capital program with lender confidence. Board reporting now takes 90 minutes to prepare (from 2 days). Enrolment forecast variance dropped to 2%.
