The builder's bank was threatening to reduce the facility. Job costing was retrospective, WIP was unreliable, and covenant reporting was always late.
Our approach
We installed weekly job costing discipline, rebuilt WIP reconciliation to tie to the P&L monthly, and produced a covenant pack the bank could rely on within day 10 of month-end.
Outcome
Bank increased the facility by $2m. Project-level margin visibility has changed how the owner quotes. Net margin up 180bps in 12 months.
